I once read that Brian Eno was picked to create the opening sound for Windows, which was only to be about 7 seconds long. In attempting to create this extremely short song, he ended up creating dozens, perhaps hundreds, of 7 seconds pieces. The creation of these pieces also helped him break through a writers block. The songs on 29 landscapes average about 1 minutes in length and helped me to do the same.
